Geert Maesmans

Geert Maesmans has extensive experience in research and development within the food industry, serving as Vice President of R&D for Health and Nutrition, and for Starches, Sweeteners and Texturizers at Cargill from July 2016 to February 2023. Prior roles include Director of Product Development at TATE & LYLE and Director of Food Applications & Product Development at Amylum. Geert began a career in R&D as Manager at Dera Food Technology, focusing on ingredient systems for the food sector. Educational qualifications include a Dr. Ir. in food science and technology from KU Leuven and completion of the Catalyst leadership programme at INSEAD.
