Maud van Belleghem

Maud Van Belleghem is an accomplished sustainability professional with extensive experience in responsible sourcing and sustainable landscape management. At Cargill from May 2020 to May 2025, Maud held the positions of Sustainability Manager and Portfolio Manager for Climate, Land Use & Water, overseeing global sustainability initiatives related to cocoa, palm, and coconut supply chains. Maud previously worked as a Climate Change and Land Use Program Officer, managing projects under the Cocoa Promise. Earlier experience includes internships at Greenfish and the Center for Microbial Ecology and Technology, where research focused on the gut microbiome's interaction with acetylsalicylic acid and its potential effects on colorectal cancer. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Bioscience Engineering from Ghent University and an Advanced Master in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management.
