Tony Nugteren is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in crop analysis and agricultural data analytics, currently serving as the World Crop Analysis Team Lead at Cargill since 1999. In this role, Tony leads a global team of analysts to forecast crop supply changes influencing trading and strategic decisions. Previously, Tony held positions as an Ethanol Analyst and a US Crop Analyst at Cargill, where responsibilities included forecasting ethanol supply and diagnosing supply aspects of corn, soybeans, and wheat. Early career experiences include teaching at the University of Minnesota, conducting precision agriculture research at Cargill Fertilizer, and advising on conservation practices at the USDA. Tony holds a Master’s degree in Soil Sciences from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy from South Dakota State University.
