Kusala Karunaratne

Kusala Karunaratne, an accomplished finance professional holding ACMA, CGMA, AIB, MBA in Finance, and DISSCA certifications, currently serves as the Assistant General Manager of Operations and Chief Internal Auditor at Cargills Bank PLC since March 2023. Prior to this role, Kusala was the Finance Manager at Mauritius Commercial Bank from August 2017 to March 2023 and worked as an Internal Auditor at Commercial Bank of Ceylon from 2007 to 2017. Earlier experience includes a position as Junior Executive Assistant at Commercial Bank of Ceylon Ltd from September 2001 to December 2007. Educational achievements include an ACMA/CGMA in Accounting and Finance from The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, an MBA in Finance from Cardiff Metropolitan University, a Certificate of Treasury Operation from the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, a Diploma in Information System Security Control and Audit from the Chartered Institute of Sri Lanka, and a Diploma in Banking and Finance from IBSL.
