U Khyoi Nu

U Khyoi Nu has been working in the software engineering field since 2017. In 2021, they joined Cargo Chief as a Software Engineer. In 2020, they worked at San Francisco State University as an Instructional Student Assistant and Summer Research Assistant. During their time as an Instructional Student Assistant, they helped four groups of students develop and deploy their web applications and graded, mentored, and occasionally instructed courses in Introduction to Computer Programming, Data Structures, and Software Engineering. As a Summer Research Assistant, they achieved an AUC of 81% in classification and analysis of individual level physical activity using large scale data. The technologies used included Java, MySQL, Git, AWS, Python, Tableau, IBM SPSS, Google Colaboratory, Scikit-learn, NumPy, Pandas, and SHAP. In 2017, U Khyoi Nu worked as a Software Development Intern at Backpack Technologies, Inc., a Y-combinator backed e-commerce company. In this role, they were responsible for end-to-end development and maintenance of a number of features for the web application and internal tools.

U Khyoi Nu received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology in 2017. U Khyoi then went on to pursue a Master of Science in Computer Science from San Francisco State University, which they completed in 2020.
