Faizan Kazi

Faizan is a Data Engineer and Artificial Intelligence researcher with a strong background in data-driven systems, cloud platforms, and machine learning. He is currently pursuing an M.Sc. in Artificial Intelligence with a minor in Business Economics at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, building on his B.S. in Computer Science.

At Cargoboard GmbH, Faizan works as a Data Engineer, where he has successfully led projects that improved data infrastructure and analytics performance. His contributions include migrating analytical databases from PostgreSQL to Google BigQuery (cutting dashboard response times), containerizing ETL pipelines for Kubernetes, and orchestrating end-to-end workflows with Apache Airflow. He also collaborates across teams to deliver real-time insights through dashboards on Apache Superset.

Previously, Faizan served as a Data Analytics Engineer at a stealth startup Green Canvas Partners (Silicon Valley), where he developed distributed data processing pipelines with Dask, automated trading logic with Backtrader APIs, and designed real-time performance dashboards.
