Julio Avila has worked in various roles in the IT industry since 2011. Julio began as an IT Intern at Venezuela's National Nutrition Institute in 2011, where they were responsible for Help Desk, Network Management, and Software Development. In 2012, they joined Movilnet as a Specialist of Monitoring and Automation, where they evaluated and designed activities to develop business support systems and process automation. Julio was then promoted to Engineer of Monitoring and Automation, where they implemented development activities of information systems and process automation. In 2017, they began working at Gencomex.com as a Full Stack Developer, where they offered a market place through an online platform to help companies manage their international freight budget. Julio also worked as a Full Stack Developer at ADEMIA and Boom Ideas Agency in 2017. In 2018, they became the Chief Technology Officer at Cargofive, where they helped empower freight forwarders to be part of the digital era.

Julio Avila obtained a degree in Computer Engineering from the Universidad Nacional Experimental de los Llanos Centrales 'Rómulo Gallegos' between 2008 and 2012. Julio also holds certifications from Platzi, LinkedIn, and Cisco. These include a Curso de Engineering Management, Curso de OKRs, Curso de Herramientas para Managers, Curso de Management en Tecnología, Curso de Machine Learning Aplicado con Python, Chief Technology Officer Career Guide, and CCNA Routing and Switching.
