Don Mitchell

Don Mitchell serves as a Technical Fellow at CarGurus since June 2016, leading the architectural design of online advertising and contributing as the most senior architect in the Technical Leadership Team. Prior roles include Senior Software Architect at Placester, Inc., where Don significantly improved the ETL system's reliability and performance, and Software Engineer at edX, focusing on the infrastructure for the authoring system. Additionally, Don held positions such as Principal Software Engineer at Scholastic, SVP Engineering at DPL Health Games, and VP Engineering at eQuilibrium.net, showcasing a strong background in software development and engineering leadership across various companies. Don holds a PhD and MS in Cognitive Science from Northwestern University and a BS in Research Psychology from Wheaton College.
