Dongik Ko

Dongik Ko is a seasoned professional in the field of software engineering and product development, currently serving as SW Technologies Lead - Perception for CARIAD since August 2022. Prior to this role, Dongik held the position of Sr. Manager for the ADAS product line at LG Electronics Europe, where expertise was demonstrated in the development of occupant and driver monitoring cameras as well as other ADAS camera technologies. Dongik's career includes significant experience at Samsung Electronics as a Principal Engineer, focusing on 2D/3D Time Of Flight depth camera technology, and at Texas Instruments, where roles spanned from principal system software engineer to application engineer, emphasizing 3D vision algorithms and system optimization. Dongik's early career at LG Electronics included software development for digital TV platforms and machine learning. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering and a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree from Korea University in related fields.
