Dr. Malte Schmidt

Dr. Malte Schmidt (MBA) currently serves as the Vice President of Cloud Foundation & Operations and Head of Connected Car at CARIAD since August 2020. Prior experience includes various leadership roles at Volkswagen AG, such as Head of Connectivity Functions in R&D and Head of Service and Connectivity Management in Product Management, as well as serving as CTO for MOSI, a Volkswagen joint venture from July 2018 to August 2021. Prior to Volkswagen, Dr. Schmidt worked as an IT Manager from 2009 to 2018 and held roles as IT Consultant and Project Leader at FER Mexicana, BearingPoint, and Bosch Rexroth from 2005 to 2009. Dr. Schmidt holds a Bachelor’s degree in Internet Science & Technology and an MBA, along with a PhD, from institutions including FH Kiel, UDLA Puebla, UC Santander, RMIT Melbourne, and Universität Göttingen.
