Thomas Maag is currently a project lead for ADAS/AD camera sensors at CARIAD, engaged in the development of camera sensors for autonomous driving. Prior to this role, Thomas worked as a development engineer for LIDAR and RADAR sensors at AUDI AG from 2017 to 2021, contributing to technologies that enhance autonomous driving capabilities. Thomas earned a Diplom in Physics and later a Dr. rer. nat. in Physics from the University of Regensburg, where they also conducted research as a doctoral student, focusing on ultrafast quantum dynamics and photonics.
