Kern Mahabir is an experienced laboratory manager and technologist with a robust background in environmental and natural resources management and chemistry. Currently serving as Deputy Laboratory Manager at the Caribbean Industrial Research Institute (CARIRI) since April 2018, Kern has previously held positions including Scientific Support Specialist at Western Scientific Company Limited and Quality Assurance/Quality Control Technician Trainee at Methanex Trinidad Ltd. Since beginning a career in the field, Kern has developed competencies in water and wastewater sampling and testing, organic chemistry, and petroleum analysis, adhering to international standards in accredited laboratories. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) from the University of the West Indies, along with diplomas in Project Management and Business Administration from the Institute of Commercial Management.

We are equipped with the product development, calibration and testing equipment needed to serve a wide range of industries – from the petrochemical, biotechnical and environmental to manufacturing, agribusiness and ICT.
