Lynette Akong is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the information and communications technology sector. Currently serving as a Senior ICT Business Coordinator at the Caribbean Industrial Research Institute (CARIRI) since June 2016, Lynette has previously held roles such as ICT/Accreditation Manager at the VIII Americas Competitiveness Forum Secretariat and Associate Professional for Applied Research and Support at the Ministry of Planning and Sustainable Development. Lynette's earlier experience includes working as an IT Database Analyst at the Trinidad and Tobago Personnel Department and a Systems Specialist at the Ministry of Education, where database systems for employment and academic data were designed and maintained. Lynette holds a Master's Degree in Geographical Information Systems from the University of Leeds and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Hertfordshire.
