Jawharah Tomawis

Jawharah Tomawis is a Family Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in cardiovascular care and nursing. Currently employed at Carient Heart & Vascular since September 2022, Jawharah previously served as a Registered Nurse at VCU Health from July 2016 to November 2022, providing comprehensive care to post-cardiac surgery, advanced heart failure, and thoracic surgery patients, among others, while also holding roles as a Clinical Nurse II and preceptor for new graduate nurses. Jawharah's early career included a position as a Nursing Care Partner, assisting with patient activities of daily living and vital sign monitoring. Additionally, Jawharah worked as a Program Assistant at the Grace E. Harris Leadership Institute, supporting program coordination and communication. Educational achievements include a Master's degree in Family Nurse Practitioner and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University.
