Nicholas De Buyl

Nicholas De Buyl has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and companies. Nicholas currently works at Cariina as the Head of School Partnerships, starting in 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Novel Capital, where they served as the Vice President of Sales from 2021 to 2023. Additionally, at Novel Capital, they held the role of Operating Partner from 2020 to 2023, providing growth capital and consulting support to software companies.

Before joining Novel Capital, Nicholas worked at aware3 as the Director of Growth from 2019 to 2020. Prior to aware3, they served as the Chief Revenue Officer at Informed K12 from 2018 to 2019, focusing on standardizing outreach and creating accountability within the company.

From 2015 to 2018, Nicholas worked at Pear Deck as the VP of Sales, developing and executing B2B sales strategies. Earlier in their career, they held positions at Netchemia from 2010 to 2015, including Director of Strategic Sales and Director of Sales. Nicholas also worked at Netchemia, a PeopleAdmin Company, as a Sales Account Executive from 2007 to 2009. Throughout their career, Nicholas demonstrated their expertise in sales, building partnerships, and providing consulting support to enterprise software companies.

Nicholas De Buyl obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Houston, where they studied from 1998 to 2001. Nicholas later pursued a Master's in Business Administration with a focus on Sales and Marketing at the same university, completing their studies from 2004 to 2007. In addition to their formal education, they have also acquired certifications in Critical Thinking from Cornell University in December 2020 and in Venture Deals from Kauffman Fellows in April 2020.
