Jarad Vary

Jarad Vary, CFA, currently serves as the Investment Portfolio Manager at Carilion Clinic, where responsibilities include conducting due diligence and analysis of public market investments for a portfolio valued at approximately $2 billion. Prior to this role, Jarad Vary was the Executive Director and Head of Manager Research at Institutional Investor from March 2012 to April 2022, co-founding the investment consultancy ManagerMatch, which provided evaluations for hedge funds and private equity and credit GPs, facilitating over $12 billion in investments for pension and endowment clients. Jarad Vary also has experience as a journalist with The New Republic from August 2011 to March 2012. Educational qualifications include a B.A. in Government from Cornell University and an M.A. in Philosophy from Université Jean Moulin (Lyon III).
