John Sarmiento

Lead UX Researcher at Cariloop

John Sarmiento is the lead UX researcher at Cariloop. John has also worked as a senior experience researcher at Bottle Rocket, an ethnographic researcher at IT'S TIME TEXAS, and an instructional assistant and research assistant at the University of North Texas. John has also served as the chair of the SfAA Podcast Team and as an undergraduate research intern at VIVAT International.

John Sarmiento has a Master of Science in Applied Medical Anthropology from the University of North Texas, a Master of Public Health in Behavioral & Community Health from the UNT Health Science Center, and data science and product management certifications from General Assembly. John also has a B.S. in Sociology & Biology and a B.A. in Medical Anthropology from Creighton University. John is certified in public health from the National Board of Public Health Examiners and has completed circuits in data analysis, digital marketing, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript from General Assembly.

John Sarmiento reports to Taryn Vitale, Senior Director, Engineering. They work with Miguel Serrano - Software Architect, Daniel Bartel - Software Architect, and Andre Morales - Quality Assurance Engineer.
