Dominic Butler has worked in the software engineering and user interface engineering fields since 2012. In that time, they have worked for companies such as CGI, Discover IT, Exonar, and Caristo Diagnostics. At CGI, they worked as a software engineer, providing services to clients such as the UK Environment Agency, The Galileo satellite network, the UK Smart Meter program, Shell, and the Ministry of Defence. At Discover IT, they worked as a frontend developer, working on web services across a variety of industries. At Exonar, they worked as a user interface engineer, developing a powerful web platform capable of visualizing and querying large quantities of structured and unstructured data. Finally, at Caristo Diagnostics, they work as a user interface engineer, developing prototypes and crafting designs into a fully functional user interface for an advanced image analysis software company specializing in detecting the early signs of heart disease from CT scans.
Dominic Butler obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from the University of Winchester in 2015. In November 2020, they earned a Digital Skills: User Experience certification from Accenture. Dominic also earned a JavaScript Algorithms and Data Structures certification from freeCodeCamp in November 2020. In February 2021, they earned a Data Visualisation with D3 certification from freeCodeCamp.
