Paul Hanania

Paul Hanania has over 30 years of work experience in the banking and audit industry. Paul is currently the Head of Internal Audit Department at Caritas Lebanon, a position they have held since September 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Internal Audit Department at JTB Bank S.A.L. from March 2013 onwards. From 1993 to 2012, Paul worked at BLOM BANK s.a.l. where they held the roles of Audit Supervisor and Internal Audit Supervisor. Paul began their career in 1987 as a Trade Finance Officer at BLOM BANK s.a.l. and later worked as a Consumer credit officer at Citibank UAE from 1990 to 1993.

Paul Hanania has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the American University of Beirut, which they obtained between 1984 and 1987. Paul also has multiple certifications from The Institute of Internal Auditors, including Certification in Risk Management Assurance in 2012, Certification in Control Self Assessment in 2007, and Auditing in 2006. In addition, they have an Advanced Diploma in Banking Management from the Center for Banking Study- Association of Banks in Lebanon- USJ, which they earned in 2006-2007. Paul also completed a program in Internal Audit for Bankers from the Center for Banking Study- Association of Banks in Lebanon- USJ in 2002-2003.
