Vanessa Gascho has extensive experience in mental health and social support, currently serving as an Intake Worker at Families Matter since May 2024. Prior to this role, Vanessa worked as a Newcomer Mental Health Facilitator at Camino Wellbeing + Mental Health from November 2021 to May 2024, and held the position of Program Site Director at COMPASS Refugee Centre from October 2019 to November 2021. Additional roles include Program Support Coordinator at Ray of Hope Inc. from January 2018 to October 2019, Kettle Campaign Coordinator at The Salvation Army for a brief period in 2018, and Barista & Trainer at Starbucks from July 2015 to December 2017. Vanessa holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Development Studies from the University of Waterloo, which was completed between 2016 and 2020.
