Sean Owens

Sean Owens has been serving as Facilities Operator Supervisor at Central Arkansas Water since December 2011, overseeing the operation of two surface water treatment plants and managing a 2500-mile distribution system. Responsibilities include performing lab analyses, training new hires, conducting evidence-based research on climate impacts on water treatment, and leading interdepartmental teams focused on optimizing efficiency and safety. Prior to this role, Sean worked at Envoy Air from August 2007 to November 2011 as a Compliance Coordinator in Environmental Health, Safety, and Security, where audits, training, and emergency response coordination were key duties. Sean holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health and Safety from Missouri Southern State University, earned in June 2017.
