Johannes Backer

Johannes Backer has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Johannes is currently working as the Head of Treasury at Carl Küehne KG (GmbH & Co.) since January 2023. Prior to this role, they served as a Treasury Manager at the same company from February 2021 to December 2022.

Before joining Carl Küehne KG, Johannes worked at Hapag-Lloyd AG as a Manager Treasury Controlling from February 2017 to January 2021. Johannes also gained experience in the financial sector by working as Middle Office Treasury at Aareal Bank AG from October 2014 to January 2017.

Johannes started their career as an intern at Landessparkasse zu Oldenburg in August 2013 for a brief period of two months. Johannes then worked as a Werkstudent at PwC from December 2012 to August 2013. Prior to that, they had a role in Change Management at Volkswagen AG from January 2012 to September 2012.

Johannes Backer pursued their education at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg. Johannes completed their Bachelor of Arts in Betriebswirtschaftslehre mit jur. Schwerpunkt (Business Administration with a legal focus) from 2008 to 2011. Later, from 2012 to 2014, they obtained a Master of Arts in Wirtschaftswissenschaften (Economics) from the same university. Additionally, in September 2021, they received certification as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) from the CFA Institute.
