Florian Mezger

Florian Mezger is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in human resources and management, currently serving as a Member of the Management Board and Head of HR for ZEISS Industrial Quality & Research since October 2016. In this role, Florian oversees a workforce of over 8,000 employees and has driven significant initiatives in talent attraction, organizational development, and diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) programs. Previous roles include Head of HR North America and Head of Shared Services North America, where Florian managed key operations and supported substantial growth during challenging periods. Additionally, Florian contributes to academia as Chair of the Advisory Committee at Hochschule Aalen Graduate Campus and has served as an external lecturer at various institutions. With advanced degrees from the University of St.Gallen and Zeppelin University, along with ongoing executive education at Harvard Business School, Florian brings a strong academic and professional foundation in accounting, finance, and business model innovation.
