Dr. Tom Podewin

Dr. Tom Podewin currently serves as Chief of Staff to the Management Board at Carl Zeiss Meditec AG, a position held since July 2023. Prior to this role, Dr. Podewin worked at Bain & Company as a Manager and Consultant from January 2020 to July 2023. Academic experience includes a postdoctoral researcher role at the Max Planck Institute for Medical Research from February 2017 to July 2019 and a PhD researcher position at Ludwig-Maximilians Universität München from December 2012 to January 2017, where a PhD thesis was completed under the supervision of a professor. Dr. Podewin also worked as a guest researcher at the University of Birmingham in 2016 and led a team at Barer GbR from June 2010 to May 2015. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy in Organic Chemistry, a Master of Science in Chemistry, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Biochemistry, all obtained from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München.
