Jason Cheng

Jason Cheng, EIT, currently serves as an FSE II at ZEISS Medical Technology since August 2024. Previously, Jason held the position of Technical Support Engineer at HeyGears from May 2022 to May 2024 and worked as a Material/Mechanical Engineer at Belcan from May 2021 to April 2022, where responsibilities included auditing data against industry standards and ensuring data integrity. At Check-Mate Industries, Inc., Jason served as a Quality Engineer, managing the Plex System to enhance manufacturing processes and improve operational efficiency. With a foundation in research, Jason developed a more efficient metal oxide ink process during a graduate assistantship at Stony Brook University, and gained practical experience as a Junior Metallurgist at Long Island Testing Laboratory. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Material Science and Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering in Engineering Science specializing in Material Science, both from Stony Brook University, along with a diploma from Bronx High School of Science.
