Simon Schröder has a diverse work experience. Simon is currently working as a Lead Engineer at Carl Zeiss Meditec AG since January 2019. Prior to this, they worked as a Staff Scientist at Saarland University from May 2015 to December 2018. Simon also has experience working as a Working Student at HIT Betriebs GmbH, where they worked on accelerator physics and shifts at the Heidelberg Ionbeam therapy center from October 2014 to March 2015. Simon Schröder has also worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Heidelberg from November 2012 to March 2013, and as a Tutor at the University of Bayreuth from November 2011 to March 2012. Furthermore, they completed a research internship at the University of Virginia from August 2011 to October 2011. Simon has also worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Bayreuth from July 2010 to February 2011. Lastly, they have volunteered as a Year of Social Services at Sportjugend NRW from July 2008 to June 2009.

Simon Schröder began their education at Rudolf Steiner Schule Bielefeld, where they obtained their Abitur in 2008. Simon then attended the University of Bayreuth from 2009 to 2012, earning their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Physics. Simon pursued further studies at Heidelberg University from 2012 to 2015, completing their Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Physik. During their time at Heidelberg, they also spent a year at The University of New Mexico focusing on Physics. Currently, Simon is a PhD student in natural science at the Universität des Saarlandes, a position they have held since 2015.
