Joseph Park

Joseph Park is a dedicated student researcher at Carleton College, involved in the Hoopfer Neuroscience Lab since September 2021. Previously, Joseph served as a biology department stockroom assistant, organizing and maintaining laboratory supplies and equipment. Joseph gained research experience as an intern at Cedars-Sinai from June 2022 to August 2023, where quantitative analysis of mice behavior was performed using DeepLabCut and Python, aiming to connect hippocampal neuron activity with behavioral patterns. Additionally, Joseph interned at Chapman University in 2020, focusing on the amino acid sequences of the chia plant and examining the expression of chitinase genes in response to pathogen infection. Joseph is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry at Carleton College, expected to graduate in June 2025.
