Beth Creary

Beth Creary serves as the Chair of the Board of Governors at Carleton University since June 2018, currently holding the position of Vice Chair and contributing to the Executive Committee. Previous roles include Board representative to Senate, Chair of the Building and Program Committee, and Vice-Chair of both the Audit & Risk and Governance Committees. In addition, Beth held the position of Vice-President and Assistant General Counsel at Ligado Networks, overseeing a high-performance legal team and managing operational support for over 40 personnel. Earlier, at Nelligan O'Brien Payne LLP, Beth was an Associate and Legal Advisor within the Corporate Commercial Team, focusing on corporate finance, banking, real estate, and small business transactions. Educational qualifications include a JD from the University of Ottawa and a B.A. in English and Legal Studies from the University of Waterloo - St. Jerome's University.
