David Webster

Adunct Research Professor

David Webster is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in higher education and research. Currently serving as an adjunct research professor at Carleton University since September 2020, Webster has also been a member of the International Advisory Council for Centro Nacional Chega! in Timor-Leste since July 2017. Previous academic roles include positions as a professor at Bishop's University and an associate professor at King's University College, along with earlier appointments as an assistant professor at the University of Regina and a post-doctoral fellow at institutions such as the University of San Francisco and the University of Toronto. In addition to academic pursuits, Webster held the role of president at the Eastern Townships Resource Centre and served as the national office coordinator for the East Timor Alert Network from 1988 to 1997. Webster earned a Ph.D. in History from the University of British Columbia between 1997 and 2005.
