Debbie Orme-Rego

Debbie Orme-Rego is a seasoned professional in human resources and labor relations, currently serving as the Director of Staff and Labour Relations at Carleton University since February 2020. Prior to this role, Debbie held leadership positions at the United Way East Ontario and United Way/Centraide Ottawa, where responsibilities included overseeing human resources and organizational development. Debbie's earlier experience encompasses HR management roles at Nipissing Parry Sound Catholic District School Board and a consultancy tenure at the Standards Council of Canada. With a solid foundation in HR from various organizations, including Sun Life Financial and Levi Strauss & Co., Debbie holds a Master's degree in Industrial Relations, Human Resources and Labour Relations and a Bachelor's degree in Commerce with a focus on Marketing and HR from Queen's University.
