Ikram Jama

Ikram Jama is an accomplished professional in human rights and equity, currently serving as Director and previously as Senior Advisor at Carleton University since June 2017. Prior experience includes the role of MLO Program Manager at OCISO from April 2011 to June 2017, where Ikram effectively managed program funding, developed culturally-based programming, and influenced educational policies. Prior to OCISO, Ikram contributed to the Ottawa Rape Crisis Centre as Public Education Program Coordinator from November 2001 to April 2011, focusing on public education, community engagement, and volunteer management. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Honours in Sociology and a Master of Arts in Political Science from Carleton University.
