Josh Greenberg

Associate Dean at Carleton University

Josh Greenberg is an accomplished academic and professional with extensive experience in the fields of journalism, communication, and sociology. At Carleton University since July 2004, Josh holds several leadership roles, including Associate Dean, Professor, and Director of the School of Journalism and Communication, having also served as Associate Director. As a consultant since 2000, Josh provides strategic counsel to government, nonprofit, and corporate clients, specializing in issues management, crisis communication, social media policy integration, and public communication campaign development and evaluation. Additionally, Josh served as Director of the Centre for Voluntary Sector Research & Development from May 2008 to July 2009 and conducted postdoctoral research at Carleton University focused on media representations of the nonprofit sector, supported by funding from the Social Sciences & Humanities Research Council of Canada. Educational credentials include an MA and PhD in Sociology, with a concentration in Media and Politics, earned from McMaster University from 1998 to 2003.
