Krista Craven

Krista Craven is an experienced educator and equity advocate currently serving as an Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Learning Specialist at Carleton University since June 2021. Previously, Krista held the position of Associate Professor of Community and Justice Studies at Guilford College from August 2014 to May 2021 and served as both a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at Vanderbilt University from 2010 to 2014. Krista's early educational roles included internships and teaching positions at various middle and secondary schools. Academically, Krista earned a PhD in Community Research and Action from Vanderbilt University, a Master of Teaching from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, a Master of Environmental Studies focused on Refugee and Migration Studies from York University, and a Bachelor of Philosophy in Interdisciplinary Leadership Studies from the University of New Brunswick.
