Lara Deutsch

Lara Deutsch is a highly accomplished flutist and educator with extensive experience in orchestral and chamber music. Currently serving as a member of the Artistic Planning Committee for the Ottawa Symphony Orchestra and a recording artist for Leaf Music, Lara also holds the position of Performance Instructor and Co-Director of the Carleton-OSO Mentorship Program at Carleton University. A professional flutist since 2010, Lara has performed with notable orchestras including the National Arts Centre Orchestra and the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, while also engaging as a substitute flute and piccolo player for prestigious ensembles such as the National Arts Centre and Orchestre symphonique de Montréal. Previously, Lara was the Assistant Principal Flute and Piccolo for the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and has held various administrative roles, including Executive Director of Pronto Musica Chamber Orchestra. Lara Deutsch holds both a Master of Music in Orchestral Studies and a Bachelor of Music in Performance from McGill University.
