Vineeth Aljapur

Vineeth Aljapur is currently serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Carleton University while pursuing a PhD in Biomedical/Medical Engineering. Prior to this role, Vineeth was a PhD Candidate at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro focusing on Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering. Vineeth's professional background includes positions as a Machine Learning Engineer at Forever Oceans, where responsibilities involved developing deep learning systems and software for complex computer vision tasks. Various roles as a Graduate Research Assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology led to advancements in automated fish counting and behavior classification, alongside experiences at UCB and Novanet focusing on data analysis and machine learning applications. Vineeth holds a Master's degree in Bioinformatics from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati.
