Michael Thiel

Michael Thiel is a Senior Automation Engineer at Carlex, having joined in November 2014 following the acquisition of Guardian's automotive glass division. Prior to this, Michael held the position of Automation Engineer at Guardian Industries, where responsibilities included managing upgrades to industrial controls and collaborating on network installations. Michael’s earlier experience includes roles as Industrial Engineer and Process Manager at JCIM, where notable projects involved the procurement of machinery and the establishment of automated packing systems, as well as positions at Plastech Engineered Products focusing on process improvement and plant launches. Michael began a career as a Product Engineer at Plastech Engineered Plastics, ensuring efficient engineering changes for customer molds. Michael earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Tri-State University between 1992 and 1998.
