Thomas Powers

Thomas Powers has a diverse work experience spanning across multiple companies. Thomas started their career as a Financial Analyst / Cost Accountant at Kraft Foods in 1999, where they prepared and maintained cost standards and analyzed variances. Thomas then moved on to become an Associate Financial Supervisor at Kraft Foods in 2002.

In 2003, they joined Kellogg Company as a Financial Logistics Analyst, where they created financial plans and completed monthly financial closings. Thomas also provided financial guidance on cost allocation practices and cost-saving initiatives. Thomas later became a Senior Financial Analyst and then an Accounting Manager at Kellogg Company, where they directed general accounting functions and led personnel in developing the annual forecast/budget.

In 2007, Powers became a Plant Controller at Kellogg Company, collaborating with the Frozen Foods CFO during a plant acquisition and restructuring the plant's financial results. Thomas also directed financial management functions and implemented best practices.

Thomas then joined MasterBrand Cabinets in 2010 as a Division Controller, responsible for managing the income statement and balance sheet of a sales/manufacturing division. Thomas also partnered with sales and product management on promotional and new product strategies. From 2011 to 2016, Powers served as the Director of Operations Finance at MasterBrand Cabinets, providing leadership to a team covering logistics finance, product costing, and capital assets.

Thomas'smost recent work experience is with Carlex, where they have been working since 2016 as the Finance Operations Director. In this role, they have provided leadership to controllers at multiple US manufacturing sites, formulated a 5-year strategic plan for operations, and played a key role in the successful sale of the company.
