For many years, Leon Friedberg has acted as counsel to closely held businesses. His work concentrates on bankruptcy and insolvency law, civil trials and disputes, landlord/tenant and real estate law, federal and state appellate practice, commercial law and mediations and arbitrations. He has represented debtors, creditors’ committees, and individual creditors in Chapter 11 cases, as well as parties in Chapters 7, 12, and 13 cases. Leon has litigated jury and bench trials at all state court and federal levels. He has also represented parties in Ohio courts of appeal and the Ohio Supreme Court, several states’ bankruptcy courts and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
Leon joined Carlile Patchen & Murphy LLP in August 1999. He is licensed to practice in the courts of Ohio and Florida, several federal appellate and district courts, bankruptcy courts and the United States Supreme Court. In his experience, he has worked as a solo practitioner and a partner in a large, regional law firm.
