Derek Fritz is an experienced software engineer with a strong background in developing complex systems across various industries. Currently serving as the lead software engineer for Carling Technologies, Inc., since February 2012, Derek has guided the development of the OctoPlex product line for luxury marine applications. Prior to this role, Derek was the lead software engineer at Governors America Corp., where responsibilities included designing and implementing software for intelligent ignition control systems. Derek's career began at GE Consumer and Industrial, where extensive project support and system integration were provided, culminating in graduation from the Edison Engineering Development Program in 2003. Derek holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and has completed graduate-level coursework in Software Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
