Montse Carmona (Ph.D.

Montse Carmona (PhD, MSc) has extensive experience in health technology evaluation, project management, and teaching. Currently serving as a researcher and evaluator at Instituto de Salud Carlos III since August 2014, Montse focuses on health technology assessments and emerging technology evaluations. In addition, Montse has been a professor at Escuela Nacional de Sanidad since May 2021 and previously taught there from February 2015 to July 2019, covering topics in health systems management and public health. Prior experience includes research roles at Hospital Universitario Puerta de Hierro, where Montse designed and evaluated research projects and clinical trials, and teaching coordination at Universidad Alfonso X el Sabio. Montse's educational background includes a Research Doctorate in Preventive Medicine and Public Health from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and various specialized degrees in epidemiology and quantitative research methods.
