Michael Gouvion has over nine years of experience in the media and journalism industry. Michael began their career in 2011 as an intern for NOW Newspapers/Community Newspapers, where they were a sports intern covering high school sports. Michael then worked as Editor-in-Chief of the Royal Purple in 2011. From 2012 to 2016, Gouvion worked as a Sports Editor/News Reporter at the Milton Courier and a News/Sports Reporter at the Edgerton Reporter. In 2016, they were promoted to Managing Editor at the Milton Courier, where they wrote and edited government/breaking news, features and sports stories for a weekly publication, and laid out all aspects of the newspaper using Adobe InDesign and edited photographs taken with personal Nikon camera on Adobe Photoshop. From 2017 to 2020, Gouvion worked as a Technology Support Specialist at the School District of Milton. Most recently, they have been the Owner/Founder of Gouvtography LLC since 2020, and a Content Copywriter at Carl's Place since 2021.

Michael Gouvion attended Wauwatosa East High School from 2004 to 2008, and subsequently earned a BS in Print Journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 2012.
