Emma Pennypacker is an experienced educator and communications professional with a strong background in teaching and public relations. Currently serving as an Elementary School Teacher at Carlsbad Municipal Schools since August 2021, Emma previously taught English Language Arts at the high school level and worked as a substitute teacher within the same school district. Emma's diverse experience includes roles as a Communications Assistant at imPRonta Public Relations, where responsibilities encompassed research, writing press releases, and managing social media, as well as positions in hospitality and as a board operator at Rooney Moon Broadcasting. Emma holds a Master of Arts in Communications and a Bachelor's degree in Communications with an emphasis in Journalism from Eastern New Mexico University.

Carlsbad Municipal Schools is seeking dedicated educators to challenge and inspire students to develop the skills and aptitudes necessary to make a living, succeed in a post-secondary education, and positively impact their world. Carlsbad Schools does offer hiring incentives up to $20,000 based on experience. Relocation expenses are also offered based on mileage. At Carlsbad Schools we offer mentor programs for incoming teachers to help support them during their first year, complete dossier for leveling up as well as OPAL for alternative licensure. Teacher housing is available on a first come, first serve basis. We will be implementing Opportunity Culture during the 23-24 school year to better provide our teachers with mentoring and offer students a quality education.
