Krista Connell is an experienced educator and specialist in digital learning and special education. Currently serving as a Digital Learning Specialist and previously as an Educational Diagnostician at Carlsbad Municipal Schools since January 2018, Krista has also held roles as a Learning Specialist at Cherry Creek School District from August 2011 to July 2016, and as an Educational Diagnostician and Special Education Teacher for Behavior Disorders at Lee's Summit R-7 School District from 1995 to 2011. Krista holds a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from the University of Central Missouri, a Master of Education in Special Education from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and a Leadership Certificate in Organizational Leadership from Adams State University.

Carlsbad Municipal Schools is seeking dedicated educators to challenge and inspire students to develop the skills and aptitudes necessary to make a living, succeed in a post-secondary education, and positively impact their world. Carlsbad Schools does offer hiring incentives up to $20,000 based on experience. Relocation expenses are also offered based on mileage. At Carlsbad Schools we offer mentor programs for incoming teachers to help support them during their first year, complete dossier for leveling up as well as OPAL for alternative licensure. Teacher housing is available on a first come, first serve basis. We will be implementing Opportunity Culture during the 23-24 school year to better provide our teachers with mentoring and offer students a quality education.
