Michele Denton is a dedicated educator with a diverse background in educational roles and management. Currently serving as a Special Education Teacher at Carlsbad Municipal Schools since August 2022, Michele previously held positions as a Site Manager at JL Gray and as a Kitchen and Bath Sales and Design professional at Lowe's Companies, Inc. From June 2016 to August 2019, Michele worked as an Elementary Educator for grades 3-5 at Carlsbad Municipal Schools. Earlier experience includes roles with Redcliff Ascent as Wilderness Field Staff and as Assessment and Intern Coordinator at Bridgerland Literacy Center. Michele's career began in customer service at Qwest. Currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Administration at New Mexico State University, Michele continues to advance professional qualifications.

Carlsbad Municipal Schools is seeking dedicated educators to challenge and inspire students to develop the skills and aptitudes necessary to make a living, succeed in a post-secondary education, and positively impact their world. Carlsbad Schools does offer hiring incentives up to $20,000 based on experience. Relocation expenses are also offered based on mileage. At Carlsbad Schools we offer mentor programs for incoming teachers to help support them during their first year, complete dossier for leveling up as well as OPAL for alternative licensure. Teacher housing is available on a first come, first serve basis. We will be implementing Opportunity Culture during the 23-24 school year to better provide our teachers with mentoring and offer students a quality education.
