Tara Andersson

Tara Andersson is an experienced chemistry educator currently teaching at Sage Creek High School within the Carlsbad Unified School District since August 2015. In addition to classroom instruction, Tara serves as the National Honor Society Advisor and Link Crew Co-Coordinator. Previous teaching experiences include co-teaching roles at Orange Glen High School and Vista Magnet Middle School, both focusing on chemistry and physical science. Besides teaching, coaching experience includes serving as the head girls basketball coach for the City of Carlsbad. Tara began their career as a special education substitute teacher at Carlsbad Unified and has a background as a laboratory technician from the University of Washington. Educational credentials include a Master of Education in Teaching and Learning from UMass Global and a Teacher Credential in Science and Special Education from California State University San Marcos, alongside a degree in Biochemistry and Chemistry from the University of Washington.
