Toni Wendt

Toni Wendt is a highly experienced professional in the field of biotechnology and agricultural sciences, currently serving as Co-Founder and Head of Technology Development at Traitomic A/S, a subsidiary of the Carlsberg Group, since August 2013. Prior roles within the Carlsberg Group include Project Lead, Science Manager, and Scientist. Wendt's experience is bolstered by a postdoctoral research fellowship at Aarhus Universitet from August 2010 to August 2013, focusing on innovative genetic modification techniques for barley and wheat. A brief tenure as a Visiting Scientist at the University of Minnesota involved custom assembly of TALEN and ZFN for targeted mutagenesis in cereal crops. Wendt holds a Ph.D. in Cell & Molecular Biology from University College Dublin and a Bachelor's degree in Technical and Applied Biology from HSB Hochschule Bremen.
