Daniel Padilla serves as Of Counsel at Carlsmith Ball since September 2015, where responsibilities include reviewing and restating corporate governance documents for Hawaii nonprofits, developing legal strategies for organizations facing ethics allegations, and representing financial services firms in enforcement actions. Prior experience includes directing orchestras at University Laboratory School, implementing string orchestra curricula, and advocating for faculty concerns, as well as lecturing in performing arts at Chaminade University. Earlier musical experience includes performing as a violinist with the Honolulu Symphony and participating in union committees. Academic credentials include a Juris Doctor from the University of Hawai'i at Manoa, a Master’s Degree in Music Performance from Yale University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Music Performance from Northwestern University.
