Prior to this role, Katherine served as Deputy Corporation Counsel for the County of Hawaii from December 2001 to July 2015, providing legal counsel and representation for the county. Katherine holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from Santa Clara University School of Law, earned between 1988 and 1991, and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Art History, Criticism and Conservation from Occidental College from 1982 to 1986.
