Andrew Markus (Josh)

Andrew (Josh) Markus has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and leadership roles. Andrew (Josh) served as the Honorary Consul for the Republic of Bulgaria for the State of Florida from February 2018 to September 2020. Prior to that, they worked at Carlton Fields as a Shareholder and Head of the International Practice. During their time at Carlton Fields, they specialized in international and domestic corporate transactions, public-private partnerships, and general corporate and commercial matters. Andrew (Josh) was also a Member of BNI Biscayne Connections and served as President of BNI Biscayne Connection, where they grew the chapter to 80 members. Additionally, they held various roles within the American Bar Association, including Member of the ABA Board of Governors and Delegate to the House of Delegates. Andrew (Josh) Markus also gained experience at Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP as an International Counsel and at Popham Haik Schnobrich & Kaufman as a Shareholder.

Andrew (Josh) Markus has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Duke University, where they studied English. Andrew (Josh) then pursued a Juris Doctor degree at the University of Florida Law School from 1970 to 1973. After completing their JD, they went on to earn a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in International and Comparative Law from Vrije Universiteit Brussel, attending from 1973 to 1974.
