Allison Groves has a strong background in senior living and memory care operations. Allison started their career at Learning Solutions as a tutor in 2007 and then served as President and Member of Beta Mu Zeta Chapter for Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society at Sierra College from 2008 to 2009. In 2010, they worked as an Administrative Assistant at Cross Creek Family Counseling before moving on to the Healthy Aging Research Lab as a Research Assistant and Lab Manager from 2010 to 2011. Allison then joined Greenhaven Estates Assisted Living & Memory Care as an Activity Director in 2011 and later became the Memory Care Director from 2013 to 2013. Allison Groves has been with Carlton Senior Living since 2014, where they have held various roles, including Director of Resident Services, Memory Care Clinical Specialist, Director of Memory Care Operations, and currently, Director of Clinical Operations.
Allison Groves has a strong educational background in the field of gerontology and aging. Allison first pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development; Aging and Health at Cornell University from 2009 to 2011. Following that, they continued their education at the University of Southern California, where they obtained a Master of Arts degree in Gerontology from 2017 to 2019.
In addition to their formal education, Allison Groves has also obtained several certifications that further enhance their expertise in the field. In February 2018, they achieved a PAC Coach Certification from the Positive Approach to Dementia Care institution. Prior to that, in June 2017, they obtained a PAC Trainer Certification from the same institution. Furthermore, in May 2011, they acquired an RCFE Administrator License from the Department of Social Services (DSS).
